Educational workshops form a key part of Out of Joint’s work.
We offer a lively, challenging and practical education programme to enhance the experience of our productions, gain an insight into the rehearsal and devising processes of our Artistic Director Max Stafford-Clark, and to look in-depth at plays from our wide catalogue of work, including Our Country’s Good by Timberlake Wertenbaker and Talking to Terrorists by Robin Soans, among many others. Workshops can be tailored to your chosen/currently studied Out of Joint piece. Workshops include practical techniques such as status games, actioning a text and improvisation.
Workshops are ideal for pupils and students aged 16+, and in groups of around 20. We can sometimes be flexible, so talk to us about your needs.
Thanks to funding from the Roddick Foundation and other generous supporters, we are now able to offer a limited number of FREE workshops to schools.
These are provided on a case by case basis. If you’d like to be considered for this, please download an application form, fill out and return to Gina Abolins, Education Administrator – gina@outofjoint.co.uk. You can also ring us on 020 7609 0207 to chat about this opportunity and our workshops in general.
Give to Out of Joint, and help make our shows and education programme accessible to all:
