This five-day course is designed to give actors at all stages in their career a chance to work with renowned director Max Stafford-Clark. Actors will gain an insight into his rehearsal techniques such as actioning texts, improvisations and status games, and take part in workshops led by actors, writers and directors.

Throughout the week, participants will work on scenes and monologues from the wide catalogue of Out of Joint productions, and receive direction and advice from Max and visiting OjO associates. There will also be trip to watch Consent, our co-production with the National Theatre of Nina Raine’s new play.

The course will take place at Out of Joint’s rehearsal base near Finsbury Park in London from 15 to 19 May, 11am – 5pm daily.
